Salaam! Thank you for visiting my profile! Here is a little bit about me: I am currently a medical student. I am also a certified Science Teacher. I used to teach biological sciences and Chemistry at reputable university and a Stem-based Gifted And Talented Learning Center. I grew up in Detroit. I am a practicing Sunni Muslim. I observe hijab, pray 5 times of daily prayers and strive to gain more Islamic knowledge and deeper understanding of Quran. I value family, cooking healthy foods, traveling, reading, running, and living an active lifestyle. I also enjoy spending time with friends and helping others in my community. Going into Medicine as a non-traditional, I am hoping to keep a balance between study and personal life and navigate through life’s challenges with optimism.
